§ 9-24. Regulations of hazardous or objectionable fires.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this article, the director of emergency services or his designees shall prohibit open burning which will be offensive or objectionable or dangerous to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the county due to smoke or odor emissions when atmospheric conditions or local circumstances make such fires hazardous. The director of emergency services or his designees shall order the extinguishment of any open burning which creates or adds to a hazardous, objectionable or dangerous situation.
